Strategy Manager

Role Overview
We are looking for a Manager – Strategy & Business Operations to work closely with the Founders and senior leadership team on strategic priorities and critical business initiatives. This is a generalist, high-ownership role that will involve working across business strategy, operations, process improvement, project management, analytics, and cross-functional execution.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, managing ambiguity, solving complex business problems, and taking initiatives from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Business Planning
Work closely with the Founders and leadership team on strategic business priorities and initiatives.
Support annual operating plans, business goals, and long-term strategic planning.
Conduct market, competitor, and business analysis to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Translate business objectives into actionable plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Track organizational performance against strategic goals and highlight key gaps.
2. Business Operations
Identify operational gaps and drive initiatives to improve business efficiency and productivity.
Work with functional leaders to understand challenges and implement practical solutions.
Develop and implement SOPs, processes, systems, and governance mechanisms.
Establish effective review mechanisms to improve accountability and execution.
Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification, and cost optimization.
3. Cross-Functional Project Management
Lead high-priority, cross-functional projects from planning to execution.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, KPIs, and expected outcomes.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and functional teams to ensure timely execution.
Track progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive resolution of critical issues.
Provide regular updates and business insights to the Founders and leadership team.
4. Business Analytics & MIS
Analyse business and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Develop dashboards, MIS, performance reports, and management presentations.
Track key business metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Conduct root-cause analysis for business and operational challenges.
Support data-driven decision-making across functions.
5. Process & Performance Improvement
Review existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Define KPIs and performance metrics for key initiatives and functions.
Work with teams to improve productivity, efficiency, and execution.
Build systems to monitor progress and ensure timely closure of action items.
Drive continuous improvement across business functions.
6. Financial & Business Planning
Work with the leadership/finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
Analyse financial and operational performance against plans.
Support preparation of business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
Assist the Founders with fundraising, investor-related initiatives, and other corporate projects as required.
7. Founder & Leadership Support
Work directly with the Founders on high-priority and confidential business initiatives.
Prepare business reviews, presentations, dashboards, and decision-making documents.
Conduct research and analysis required for leadership discussions.
Drive follow-ups with stakeholders and ensure agreed action items are closed within timelines.
Support the Founders in evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, projects, and business initiatives.
Requirements
11 - 15 years of overall experience in Strategy, Business Operations, Founder’s Office, CEO’s Office, Management Consulting, Program Management, or similar roles.
MBA from a reputed institute is preferred.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and work across multiple functions.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to decision-making.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong project management and execution capabilities.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
Experience in business planning, budgeting, financial analysis, or fundraising will be an added advantage.
Prior experience in a startup, PropTech, Real Estate, or high-growth organization is preferred.
