Slayble is a fashion subscription service. Members subscribe monthly and get a new set of clothes every week, delivered to their door. Our app is where it all happens: members browse the catalogue, choose what they will wear next, and manage every weekly swap from their phone.
About the role
We are looking for a mobile developer who cares how an app feels, not just whether it works. You will own our member app on Android and iOS: building new screens, bringing the designs to life with motion and interaction, and releasing it to both stores.
This role suits someone early in their career who already builds beautiful apps. You will work directly with the Founder and alongside our backend and web developers, and the app will be yours to shape.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain our member app for Android and iOS in React Native.
Turn designs into screens that match them closely, down to spacing, type, colour and motion.
Build the interactions that make the app a pleasure to use: transitions, gestures, loading states and small animations.
Keep the app fast and stable on everyday Android phones, not only the latest iPhones.
Connect the app to our APIs with the backend team, and own releases to the Play Store and the App Store.
Test on real devices, find and fix bugs, and keep quality high as the app grows.
Improve the experience. If a flow feels clumsy, say so and propose a better one.
What we're looking for
Hands-on experience building apps with React Native (Expo is a plus), whether in a job, an internship, freelance work or your own projects.
At least one app you have built that we can see: live in a store, on GitHub, or in a screen recording.
A real eye for design. You notice when spacing is off, a transition feels cheap or a screen is cluttered.
Experience with animation and gestures in React Native, for example with Reanimated and Gesture Handler.
Solid JavaScript or TypeScript, and comfort working with REST APIs.
You work well independently and own your work from start to finish.
Useful, though not essential: releasing an app to both the Play Store and the App Store; working from Figma files; push notifications, payments or OTP login; an interest in fashion.
