As AVP - Marketing, you will shape how upGrad is perceived, chosen, and experienced by learners globally. You will own the marketing strategy and engine across brand, growth, GTM, demand generation, and performance, with a clear mandate to drive both brand equity and business growth.
What You Will Do
Marketing Strategy & Brand
Own the overall marketing strategy aligned to business and growth goals.
Define positioning, messaging, and category narratives across key audiences and markets.
Build upGrad’s brand leadership across education, careers, technology, and AI.
GTM & Demand Generation
Lead GTM strategy for new products, programmes, partnerships, and launches.
Build scalable demand-generation engines across digital, content, partnerships, influencers, events, and emerging channels.
Drive qualified leads, applications, enrolments, and revenue in partnership with business and sales teams.
Growth & Performance
Own marketing efficiency and key metrics including CAC, CPL, conversion, ROI, and revenue contribution.
Build a diversified, data-driven acquisition engine and continuously optimize channels, spends, and funnel performance.
Leverage AI, technology, and experimentation to improve marketing effectiveness.
Communications
Build distinctive campaigns and thought leadership that strengthen brand preference and visibility.
Team & Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary marketing organisation.
Manage agencies and strategic partners.
Work closely with Product, Business, Sales, Finance, and Leadership to connect marketing to business outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
12+ years of marketing experience, with experience leading large-scale consumer/digital businesses.
Proven track record across brand, growth, performance, and GTM.
Strong commercial orientation with experience managing significant marketing budgets.
Experience building and scaling high-performing marketing teams.
Excellent understanding of data, analytics, digital marketing, and emerging AI-led marketing.
Strong storytelling, strategic thinking, and stakeholder-management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
