**FULLY REMOTE**
ScolerTec is seeking multiple Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developers to support a large-scale cloud data modernization and analytics program. The role will design and develop enterprise dashboards, semantic models, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics capabilities that can be used by both technical analysts and nontechnical business users.
The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data-modeling skills with experience across traditional BI platforms such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, and Tableau, as well as intuitive self-service analytics platforms such as Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Strategy ONE/MicroStrategy, Sigma, Sisense, or similar tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical applications.
Build self-service analytics solutions for nontechnical business users, enabling intuitive data exploration with minimal technical training.
Develop solutions using tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Qlik Sense/QlikView, ThoughtSpot, Strategy ONE/MicroStrategy, Sigma, Sisense, Tableau, and Power BI.
Design semantic models, dimensional models, star schemas, measures, KPIs, and reusable analytical datasets.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries supporting reporting and analytics.
Integrate BI solutions with cloud and enterprise data platforms including AWS, Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, relational databases, and data lakes/lakehouses.
Implement row-level security, role-based access, governed datasets, data-quality controls, and consistent KPI definitions.
Optimize dashboards, semantic models, queries, and datasets for performance and scalability.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive visualizations and self-service analytical experiences.
Support CI/CD, source control, testing, documentation, deployment, and production troubleshooting for BI solutions.
Work closely with data engineering, architecture, governance, and platform teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands-on BI development experience in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL and dimensional/semantic data modeling.
Experience developing enterprise dashboards and analytical applications using multiple BI platforms.
Hands-on experience with at least one business-user-oriented self-service analytics platform, such as:
Qlik Sense/QlikView, ThoughtSpot, Strategy ONE/MicroStrategy, Sigma, Sisense, or comparable platform.
Experience with one or more traditional enterprise BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
Experience implementing security, governance, data validation, and performance optimization for BI solutions.
Experience working with cloud data platforms and large enterprise datasets.
Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on Amazon QuickSight experience.
Experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, Athena, S3, RDS, or related services.
Experience with Databricks and lakehouse architectures.
AWS GovCloud or regulated/federal environment experience.
Experience with Informatica or other enterprise ETL/data-integration platforms.
Experience designing analytics specifically for nontechnical/end-business users.
Federal government or other regulated-industry experience.
