Lead Product Designer

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Design Ownership:
Own design quality, consistency, and coherence (layout, flow, copy) across your feature areas.
Maintain a complete product-level view of every feature you're responsible for.
Make design decisions confidently and independently; participate in decision-making for adjacent features.
Execution and Delivery:
Drive timely delivery of features, balancing craft with product impact.
Collaborate closely with PMs and EMs to scope, prioritise, and ship.
Navigate dependencies across product, engineering, and analytics teams without losing momentum.
Craft and AI-Augmented Workflow:
Use AI tools (generative UI, prototyping assistants, design ops automation) to increase the speed and quality of your output.
Explore and champion new AI-powered workflows within the team from ideation to handoff.
Set the standard for how AI tools integrate into Sahi's design process without compromising design integrity.
Collaboration and Communication:
Lead design conversations in forums like Design Reviews, Product Reviews, and DWS.
Provide structured, actionable design feedback in Figma and review sessions.
Work fluently across PMs, EMs, researchers, and analysts to get features shipped.
Impact and Metrics:
Drive measurable improvement on defined metrics for your features.
Own a significant part of at least one design team OKR.
Connect design decisions to business and user outcomes.
Team and Culture:
Manage and mentor 1-2 designers, supporting their growth through regular feedback and reviews.
Drive team productivity by improving processes: Figma organisation, Jira workflows, documentation standards.
Actively participate in design hiring: sourcing, portfolio reviews, and interviews.
Share your work externally: write about launches, post about design decisions, represent Sahi's design thinking publicly.
