Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Food Server role based at Broadview Hotel in Srinagar. The Food Server is responsible for welcoming guests, presenting menus, answering questions about food and beverages, and taking accurate orders. The role includes serving meals and drinks, checking on guest satisfaction, handling special requests, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and correct service. Daily tasks also involve setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and following food safety and hygiene standards. The Food Server is expected to handle payments, provide courteous customer service, and support the overall dining operations as needed.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
Experience or knowledge in Food & Beverage and Food Service, including table service, menu familiarity, and basic food safety practices.
Basic Cooking understanding or interest, helpful for explaining menu items and coordinating with kitchen staff.
Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel service is preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays safely, and work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent education; additional hospitality training or certifications are an advantage.
Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and guest satisfaction.
