Role Description The Asst Manager HR (Payroll & Compliance) – Manufacturing MNC role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, including data validation, salary calculations, statutory deductions, and timely disbursements for employees of a manufacturing client. Day-to-day activities include maintaining HR and payroll records, ensuring adherence to labor laws and statutory requirements (such as PF, ESI, gratuity, and tax compliance), and preparing necessary reports and documentation for audits. The role involves supporting HR policies implementation, handling employee queries related to payroll and benefits, and coordinating with finance, operations, and HR teams to resolve discrepancies. The Asst Manager HR will also assist in improving HR processes, updating compliance practices in line with regulatory changes, and supporting employee relations initiatives in the plant or office environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including exposure to HR operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong exp in SAP / Oracle.
Excellent MS Excel skill.
Practical experience in Employee Benefits administration, such as statutory benefits, insurance, and leave management.
Skills in Employee Relations, including handling employee queries, supporting grievance resolution, and maintaining professional workplace communication.
Knowledge of HR Policies, especially those related to payroll, attendance, leave, and statutory compliance for large workforces.
Working knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance in India (PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, and income tax-related payroll provisions).
Proficiency with HRIS/payroll software, MS Excel, and basic data analysis for payroll and compliance reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or HR certification is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, with strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with both management and employees.
