Role Description The Junior Advocate will work full time on-site at the firm’s office in Mumbai, supporting senior advocates in litigation and advisory matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings, contracts, and legal opinions, and assisting in the preparation of case files and documentation. The role involves attending client meetings, coordinating with court and administrative staff, and supporting appearances in various forums under supervision. The Junior Advocate will review case laws and statutory provisions, help maintain organized case records, and contribute to internal knowledge resources. The position also includes regular collaboration with colleagues, adherence to professional and ethical standards, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and analytical abilities, including proficiency in using legal databases and reviewing case laws.
Solid drafting and writing skills for pleadings, contracts, notices, and legal opinions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and coordination with court and administrative staff.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple matters, maintain case files, and meet deadlines.
LL.B. (or equivalent law degree) from a recognized institution and enrollment with the Bar Council (or eligibility to enroll).
Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and responsible practice.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and be available for court work and client meetings as required.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in litigation or corporate practice is an advantage but not mandatory.
