What You’ll Do
Perform structural engineering analysis and design for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
Assist in the preparation of structural calculations, engineering reports, and construction drawings.
Support the design of racking systems, equipment foundations, module supports, and balance-of-system structural components.
Review geotechnical reports, site conditions, and loading requirements under the guidance of senior engineers.
Collaborate with electrical, civil, and project management teams to support integrated project execution.
Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews throughout the design process.
Assist with engineering change evaluations and construction support activities.
Develop technical knowledge of applicable building codes, industry standards, and renewable energy design practices.
Support permitting efforts and engineering documentation for project approvals.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
1-3 years of structural engineering experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
Familiarity with structural analysis software such as RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar tools.
AutoCAD experience.
Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and structural engineering principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, power delivery, or renewable energy projects.
Exposure to steel, concrete, and foundation design.
Familiarity with solar racking systems and foundation solutions.
Experience preparing engineering documentation for permitting or construction.
