Role Description The Area Service Manager is responsible for overseeing service operations and customer support activities within the assigned region, based in Patna. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and coordinating installation, maintenance, and repair of solar systems, inverters, and batteries through local service teams and partners. The role involves monitoring service quality, handling escalated customer issues, ensuring adherence to safety and company standards, and optimizing turnaround times for service requests. The Area Service Manager will analyze regional service performance, prepare reports, support training of technicians, and collaborate with sales and operations teams to improve customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in service management, area or regional operations, or field service coordination, preferably in the energy, electrical, or consumer durables sector.
Strong technical understanding of power backup systems, solar solutions, inverters, and batteries, or related electrical/electronic equipment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop service teams, manage vendors or channel partners, and drive performance against service KPIs.
Excellent problem-solving, customer relationship management, and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on timely issue closure.
Solid organizational and reporting skills, including the ability to use basic productivity tools and analyze service data for improvements.
Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to coordinate across internal departments and external stakeholders.
Ability to work on-site in Patna, travel within the assigned area as required, and adapt to field conditions and operational demands.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics), or a related technical field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in after-sales service, warranty handling, or customer support for technical products is highly beneficial.
