A creative agency is looking for an experienced freelance Shopify / E-commerce Developer to collaborate on client projects.
The ideal candidate can turn approved strategy and designs into polished, functional e-commerce experiences and take responsibility for the quality of their work.
What you’ll do
Build and customize Shopify stores based on approved designs and project requirements.
Implement responsive layouts that preserve the intended design across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Develop and test the agreed shopping experience, including product pages, product options, cart, and checkout.
Collaborate with designers, brand and SEO strategists, and project managers.
Identify technical limitations, unclear requirements, and dependencies early, and recommend practical solutions.
Test your work, fix issues, and document completed quality checks before submitting it for review.
Communicate when a request falls outside the agreed scope or requires specialist support.
What we’re looking for
Professional experience developing Shopify stores, supported by relevant live examples or work samples.
The ability to explain your specific contribution to each project.
Strong attention to design accuracy, mobile usability, and technical quality.
An organized, independent approach to delivery, with clear communication about progress and blockers.
Advanced English for written communication and team calls.
Location in the Americas.
Experience with WordPress, custom development, agency collaboration, and responsible use of AI development tools is a plus.
How the collaboration works
This is a freelance opportunity organized around project tickets. Each ticket defines the work to be delivered, and scope, timing, and compensation are agreed before work begins.
You’ll be expected to clarify requirements, deliver the agreed work, and flag additional requests before expanding the scope. Please include your rates and availability with your application.
