Vice President of Product Operations

Role Description The Vice President of Product Operations is a full-time remote leadership role responsible for overseeing end-to-end product operations, ensuring that product strategy, execution, and delivery run efficiently and consistently. This role leads cross-functional alignment between product management, engineering, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams, defining and optimizing processes, tools, and workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting operational priorities, managing product portfolio rhythms (roadmapping, release planning, and retrospectives), and monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. The Vice President of Product Operations will develop and maintain standardized frameworks for intake, prioritization, and resource allocation, while mentoring and guiding teams on best practices. This role also partners with senior leadership to support strategic planning, owns communication and reporting on product initiatives, and ensures compliance with organizational standards and quality expectations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Product Operations, with a track record of designing and scaling processes that improve efficiency, transparency, and delivery quality.
Strong Product Management experience, including roadmap development, stakeholder alignment, and lifecycle management of complex product portfolios.
Proficiency in Program Management and Project Management, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage dependencies, and deliver on time and within scope.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including data-driven decision-making, KPI development, and performance analysis to inform strategy and optimization.
Proven leadership experience managing and developing diverse, distributed teams, with strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience working in remote or hybrid environments, with the ability to build effective virtual workflows and foster engagement across locations.
Familiarity with modern product and project tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, product analytics platforms) and comfort with continuous improvement methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent experience in product, operations, or management is beneficial.
Experience in scaling organizations, driving change management, and implementing governance frameworks for product decision-making is a plus.
