Role Description The Dispatcher role at SpeedyWay9 Inc. is a remote, contract position responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities and ensuring efficient movement of freight. This role includes assigning loads to drivers and carriers, planning routes, monitoring shipment status, and adjusting schedules to meet delivery commitments. The Dispatcher will communicate regularly with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records in dispatch and tracking systems. Additional responsibilities include verifying load details, confirming appointments, addressing delays or incidents, and supporting compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with operations and customer service to improve efficiency and maintain high service standards.
Qualifications
Experience with dispatching or coordinating transportation activities in logistics, freight, or related fields.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines.
Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Proficiency with dispatch, routing, or transportation management software and basic office productivity tools.
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records, schedules, and documentation.
Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected delays, route changes, and customer concerns.
Knowledge of North American transportation routes, regulations, and industry practices is an asset.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and maintain reliable availability during scheduled hours.
Previous experience in logistics or trucking operations and familiarity with carrier, MC, and DOT requirements is preferred.
