Senior Manager / Consulting Actuary – Medicaid
Remote | Full-Time | $200,000–$275,000
We’re seeking a senior healthcare actuary with deep Medicaid expertise who can combine strong technical actuarial experience with client leadership and business development.
This is a senior-level consulting role supporting state Medicaid agencies and public healthcare programs. The ideal candidate has experience leading complex Medicaid actuarial engagements, developing trusted client relationships, and helping grow consulting business through proposals, expanded client relationships, and new opportunities.
What we're looking for:
ASA or FSA with active MAAA membership
15+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
Significant Medicaid and/or public-sector healthcare experience
Medicaid managed care capitation rate development and/or certification experience
Strong understanding of CMS requirements, Medicaid financing, risk adjustment and financial modeling
Experience leading actuarial teams and complex client engagements
Executive-level communication with state leaders, regulators and senior stakeholders
Demonstrated business development/client growth experience, including proposals, RFPs, expanding existing relationships and/or developing new consulting opportunities
Experience with 1115/1915 waivers, HCBS/LTSS, provider reimbursement, value-based payment, rate negotiations and other Medicaid financing initiatives is highly valued.
This position is remote and will support significant work with Hawaiʻi Med-QUEST. Candidates must be able to work during Hawaii Standard Time hours. Hawaiʻi and West Coast candidates are preferred, although other locations may be considered based on experience. Travel is expected to be limited.
Base salary: $200,000–$275,000
