Vice President of Product Development

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Vice President of Product Development to lead the company’s product development strategy, innovation initiatives, and end-to-end product lifecycle. This executive will be responsible for transforming market opportunities and customer needs into scalable, high-quality products that drive revenue growth, competitive advantage, and long-term business success.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, technical understanding, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s overall product development strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including concept development, design, engineering, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.
Establish product development roadmaps, strategic priorities, timelines, and performance objectives across the product portfolio.
Identify emerging technologies, customer needs, and market trends to drive product innovation and new business opportunities.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
Oversee product development budgets, resource allocation, and investment priorities to maximize efficiency and business impact.
Establish product development methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
Ensure products meet customer expectations, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable compliance obligations.
Monitor product development performance through KPIs, milestones, and portfolio analytics, providing regular updates to executive leadership.
Evaluate product performance and recommend improvements, enhancements, or lifecycle strategies based on customer feedback and market results.
Build and lead high-performing product development teams, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Present product strategies, development progress, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
12+ years of progressive experience in product development, engineering, product management, or related fields, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Proven track record of successfully leading product development organizations and launching innovative products.
Strong understanding of product development methodologies, Agile practices, product lifecycle management, and innovation frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex product portfolios and cross-functional teams.
Excellent strategic thinking, business judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Experience working in technology-driven, high-growth, or global business environments is preferred.
