This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a FP&A Specialist — Strategic Modeling & Long-Term Planning based in Brazil.
As an FP&A Specialist, you will play a strategic role at the intersection of financial planning, business strategy, and long-term growth.
You will build sophisticated multi-year financial models that support major business decisions and new verticals.
The role combines financial expertise with modern analytical approaches, including the practical use of AI tools for modeling and scenario analysis.
You will translate complex financial and market insights into clear recommendations for C-Level leaders and investors.
Your work will span strategic projects, competitive analysis, business mechanics, and long-term planning across multiple products and geographies.
You will operate in a collaborative, high-impact environment where analytical rigor, business acumen, and executive communication are essential.
The position follows a remote-first model, allowing you to work from anywhere in Brazil, with the option to work from São Paulo offices.
Accountabilities
Build and maintain flexible, traceable multi-year strategic financial models supported by robust operational assumptions for new verticals and business lines.
Structure financial models that accurately reflect complex business mechanics while remaining clear, practical, and useful for strategic decision-making.
Integrate AI tools into financial analysis and modeling workflows to improve efficiency, automate data-related tasks, and enhance scenario analysis.
Translate complex financial models and analyses into concise executive presentations and recommendations for senior leadership and investors.
Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analyses across multiple products and geographies, combining quantitative and qualitative insights.
Identify and clearly communicate the key financial and operational variables that influence strategic decisions.
Maintain high technical rigor across financial models through strong organization, version control, documented logic, traceability, and auditability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business dynamics and translate them into reliable financial assumptions and scenarios.
Contribute to strategic FP&A initiatives that support long-term planning and business growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Consistent professional experience building financial models within FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Consulting, Financial Markets, or similar environments.
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong mastery of complex financial modeling and the ability to create clear, traceable, and well-structured workbooks.
Practical experience and enthusiasm for using Artificial Intelligence tools in data analysis, financial modeling, and analytical workflows.
Strong critical reasoning and strategic thinking, with the ability to quickly understand business mechanics and accurately translate them into financial models.
Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, defensible assumptions and recommendations for directors, C-Level leaders, and investors.
Highly proactive and solution-oriented approach, combined with strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and commitment to quality and deadlines.
Advanced or fluent English proficiency is mandatory, as reporting materials and professional communications are conducted in English.
Knowledge or practical experience with financial products or marketplaces is a plus.
SQL knowledge for autonomous data extraction and manipulation is desirable.
Familiarity with corporate planning systems such as SAP and basic accounting principles is advantageous.
