Identity Platform Engineer – Authentication Service

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Identity Platform Engineer – Authentication Service based in India.
This remote role offers the opportunity to engineer and strengthen enterprise authentication services supporting B2E, B2B, and B2C users.
You will design, implement, and roll out secure authentication and multi-factor authentication capabilities across a large global environment.
The position combines identity engineering, security architecture, automation, and hands-on DevOps responsibilities.
You will work extensively with Entra ID, Active Directory, federation protocols, OAuth, Microsoft Graph API, and cloud authentication services.
The role also involves translating enterprise application requirements into scalable authentication solutions and improving identity security through automation.
You will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders while contributing to agile delivery and continuous process improvement.

Accountabilities
Design, implement, and deploy authentication and identity solutions supporting B2E, B2B, and B2C applications, systems, and tools.
Apply extensive knowledge of authentication methods, federation technologies, and modern identity standards such as OIDC and SAML.
Design and implement new multi-factor authentication capabilities and continuously improve existing authentication services.
Analyze enterprise use cases and technical requirements to develop secure, scalable authentication solutions.
Provide end-to-end DevOps support for authentication and MFA platforms, from implementation through ongoing operation and improvement.
Work extensively with Microsoft Entra ID, including application registration, SSO configuration, and platform administration.
Implement OAuth solutions within Google Cloud Platform environments.
Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to support identity administration and operational efficiency.
Develop strategies and automated solutions for managing Entra ID configurations through APIs.
Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrate identity services with enterprise applications and platforms.
Use Microsoft Graph API and related technologies to automate and manage identity configurations and workflows.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24x7 support for critical authentication services.
Follow Agile delivery practices and use Jira for backlog management, prioritization, and project tracking.
Leverage AI tools to automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous platform enhancement.
Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and management to resolve identity and authentication challenges effectively.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education may also be considered.
7+ years of professional IT experience, including at least 5 years focused on security, IAM, or authentication technologies.
5+ years of hands-on experience with ADFS and Microsoft Entra ID.
At least 2 years of experience with Entra ID application registration and SSO configuration.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API.
At least 2 years of Active Directory administration experience.
At least 1 year of experience implementing OAuth within Google Cloud Platform environments.
Strong understanding of Active Directory, authentication technologies, identity federation, MFA, and broader Identity and Access Management principles.
Strong coding and scripting capabilities, with hands-on PowerShell development experience preferred.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and AI Builder.
Practical experience developing and managing RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of GitHub and modern software development workflows.
Strong understanding of security principles and the ability to apply them to enterprise identity platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and management levels.
Strong attention to detail, quality, and operational reliability.
Highly motivated, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to resolving complex technical problems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment.
