Senior Data Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in India.
This remote role offers the opportunity to lead advanced analytics initiatives focused on oncology patient journeys, treatment pathways, and line-of-therapy analysis.
You will transform large-scale claims and patient datasets into actionable insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making.
The position combines hands-on data analysis with client-facing communication, visualization, and project ownership.
You will work with structured healthcare data from sources such as DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, and Symphony claims.
Your analyses may support real-world evidence, healthcare resource utilization, prevalence, incidence, and cost-of-illness studies.
You will collaborate with teams spanning HEOR, market access, strategy, and engineering in a multidisciplinary environment.
The role is well suited to an experienced analyst who enjoys solving complex healthcare problems and translating data into clear business insights.
Accountabilities
Lead and execute analytics projects focused on oncology patient journeys, line-of-therapy mapping, and brand analytics.
Analyze structured claims and patient datasets, including DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, and Symphony claims data.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify treatment patterns, patient pathways, utilization trends, and other relevant insights.
Support health economics and outcomes research and healthcare resource utilization analyses, including prevalence, incidence, disease burden, and cost-of-illness studies.
Build and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines while using Python and Excel for analysis, automation, and data processing.
Develop and present client-facing insights through dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and other visual analytics formats.
Gather stakeholder requirements, define analytical approaches and timelines, and communicate project progress and outcomes effectively.
Collaborate with HEOR, market-access, strategy, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver analytics projects.
Maintain data integrity, governance, documentation, reproducibility, and quality throughout analytical workflows.
Independently manage priorities and workload while ensuring projects remain on track and deliverables meet expected standards.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in relevant data analytics roles.
Proven experience working with structured healthcare and patient datasets, particularly DRG, Symphony, IQVIA, or McKesson claims.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working in pharmaceutical, life-science consulting, healthcare analytics, or a related analytical environment.
Exposure to real-world evidence data sources such as EHR/EMR and CMS datasets.
Understanding of line-of-therapy frameworks, treatment guidelines, patient journeys, and market-access structures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful conclusions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain analytical approaches, timelines, findings, and recommendations.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Knowledge of data modeling and statistical techniques is advantageous.
Client-facing experience and the ability to communicate business insights effectively are preferred.
Familiarity with oncology, immunology, rare diseases, or other relevant therapy areas is beneficial.
Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, developing interactive dashboards, or working with multi-geography datasets is a plus.
