This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Analista de Testes/Qualidade – Sênior based in Brazil.
This is a senior quality engineering role focused on ensuring software reliability, functionality, and user experience.
You will analyze applications from both functional and technical perspectives, identifying potential issues and challenging expected behaviors.
The role requires building a strong understanding of how software works internally and using that knowledge to design effective testing strategies.
You will investigate system boundaries, anticipate failure scenarios, and validate solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
Automation is also part of the scope, with opportunities to create automated tests when they provide value and improve quality.
You will work in an agile development environment alongside technology professionals and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
This position is ideal for an experienced testing professional who combines analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and strong software quality practices.
Accountabilities
Analyze software applications to understand their expected behavior, architecture, and potential failure points.
Develop a mental model of how systems operate internally and use it to design effective testing approaches.
Identify functional, technical, and edge-case scenarios that could affect application quality and reliability.
Design and execute tests that challenge system assumptions and validate software behavior under different conditions.
Identify defects, inconsistencies, and risks and provide clear information to support their resolution.
Develop or implement automated tests when appropriate to improve coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
Collaborate with development and other technical teams within an agile environment.
Contribute to continuous improvements in testing practices, quality processes, and software delivery.
Requirements
Completed higher education in Information Technology, including a technologist degree, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate qualification.
Proven experience as a Senior Test Analyst or in a comparable software quality role.
Experience working with agile software development methodologies.
Solid understanding of software testing principles and the ability to analyze applications beyond their surface behavior.
Basic knowledge of commonly used programming languages, with sufficient technical understanding to investigate application behavior and testing scenarios.
Ability to reason analytically, identify potential problems, and test the limits and assumptions of a software system.
Experience or familiarity with test automation and identifying situations where automated testing can improve quality and efficiency.
At least one professional testing certification issued by one of the following organizations: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), QAI Global Institute – Quality Assurance, ALATS (Associação Latino-Americana de Teste de Software), IBQTS (Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade em Testes de Software), or IIST (International Institute for Software Testing).
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
