Deployment Strategist

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the customer- and stakeholder-facing half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at a fintech identity and compliance platform. You will own the end-to-end deployment experience for enterprise clients, ensuring they get maximum value from the product while feeding insights back to shape how the team builds and supports it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with customers to design and execute successful implementations tailored to their specific needs.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across complex enterprise environments with competing priorities.
- Lead detailed project planning and execution during deployment, keeping all teams aligned and on track.
- Analyze customer requirements early, break them into actionable priorities, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and growth teams to identify friction points and improve implementation processes.
- Contribute to documentation, tooling, and playbooks that make future deployments smoother and more scalable.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4 to 5 or more years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in customer-facing deployment, implementation, or solutions engineering roles delivering enterprise software.
- Meaningful domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, regulated onboarding, or a closely related compliance area; this is the strongest signal for the role.
- Operating experience in fintech, banking, or a startup environment rather than an exclusively management-consulting background.
- Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise implementations from kickoff through go-live, including scope management and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum, and tools such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.com.
- Proven ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences without losing nuance.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to resolve implementation blockers.
- Background building or improving process documentation, implementation guides, or internal onboarding tooling.
- Comfort operating at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and customer success.
- Experience with SaaS or fintech products, identity platforms, or payment and financial infrastructure is a plus.
- Familiarity with API integrations, data migration, or technical onboarding processes is a plus.
- Experience at a recognized high-execution fintech or technology operator is preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary ranges from EUR 93,000 to EUR 146,000 depending on level, with large step-ups between levels. The company publishes its leveling system and does not run individual salary negotiations; everyone at the same level is paid the same. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.
