Project Overview
Olympic Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer / Integration Specialist to support a government technology modernization initiative.
The project involves replacing several existing systems with new solutions. The selected consultant will play a lead technical role in:
Integrating multiple new solutions
Integrating new systems with existing internal and external applications
Migrating existing data into the replacement systems
Designing and developing APIs
Designing databases and data schemas
Mapping legacy data structures to new SQL-based systems
Developing and modifying applications
Testing integrations and applications
Deploying solutions
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
The work will be performed using an iterative, collaborative development approach.
Primary Responsibilities
The consultant will:
Lead technical activities associated with system replacement and data migration.
Develop asynchronous SOAP and RESTful APIs.
Connect APIs with new and existing applications.
Design SQL Server databases and associated data structures.
Develop and maintain T-SQL.
Analyze legacy system schemas and map legacy data into new SQL database structures.
Develop data-migration strategies and lead migration activities.
Develop Azure Functions supporting data migration and integration.
Develop and maintain SSIS-based migration processes.
Develop applications using .NET technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, and MVC.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps.
Test APIs, integrations, applications, and data migrations.
Deploy Azure resources using Bicep scripts.
Troubleshoot application, integration, deployment, and data issues.
Develop technical documentation.
Work closely with technical and business team members throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and problem resolution.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 7+ years of application-development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years developing asynchronous SOAP and RESTful APIs and connecting APIs to applications.
5+ years working with SQL Server and T-SQL.
5+ years testing system integrations.
4+ years developing data-migration approaches and leading related activities.
4+ years developing schemas for legacy systems and mapping legacy-system data to SQL databases.
4+ years using Azure Functions for data migrations.
3+ years using SSIS for data migrations.
3+ years using DevOps with CI/CD pipelines.
3+ years performing REST API testing.
Experience deploying Azure resources using Bicep scripts.
Programming experience using the .NET MVC framework, ASP.NET, and C#.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
A demonstrated record of organizing and managing complex data projects from planning through execution.
Willingness to write and execute manual test cases.
Experience developing and executing automated browser tests.
Experience using Git-based source control.
JavaScript application-development experience.
Relevant cloud certifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Work Schedule and Location
Monday through Friday.
Up to 40 hours per week.
Flexible scheduling may be available.
At least six hours each workday must overlap with standard operating hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time.
Work will be performed remotely from the consultant’s home office within the United States.
Occasional travel to client locations may be required.
Approved travel will be reimbursed according to applicable state and client travel policies.
