Role Description The Senior Field Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sambalpur. The role involves providing advanced technical and customer support for banking automation systems, security printing-related equipment, and associated digital solutions at client locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring minimal downtime for customer operations. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex problems, document service activities, and implement best practices for system reliability. This position also requires maintaining strong client relationships, training end users on proper system usage, and adhering to company and customer standards for safety, quality, and compliance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to resolve complex field issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess Customer Support and Customer Service skills to manage client interactions and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Operating Systems to install, configure, and maintain software components on customer infrastructure.
Relevant experience in field engineering or technical support, preferably in BFSI, automation, or printing systems.
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple service calls, and maintain clear documentation and reports.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and readiness to travel locally as required.
Familiarity with networking basics, hardware installation, and safety standards is an advantage.
