Manager, Strategic Finance & FP&A
Our client, a data and technology company, is seeking a Manager of Strategic Finance & FP&A to lead company-wide planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Location:
This role is fully remote, with occasional in-person collaboration in the San Francisco Bay Area preferred.
Job Description:
This highly visible role will partner closely with executive leadership and stakeholders across the organization to translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling expertise with strategic thinking, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence decision-making in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and long-range financial planning
Partner with business leaders to develop forecasts, improve planning accuracy, and evaluate financial performance
Build financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, investments, and resource-allocation decisions
Develop and monitor financial and operational metrics that provide leadership with greater visibility into business performance
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analyses, financial trends, risks, and opportunities
Partner with executive leadership on corporate development, growth initiatives, and other strategic projects
Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to understand business drivers and translate changes into updated financial plans
Perform ad hoc financial analyses and develop executive-ready recommendations that support data-driven decisions
Improve FP&A processes, reporting capabilities, and planning tools as the organization continues to grow
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or public accounting
Experience within a technology, software, subscription-based, or similarly dynamic business environment
Advanced financial modeling skills with a strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, forecasting, and cash flow
Excellent communication and business-partnering skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership

Office location and other geographic considerations;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
