About the Role
We're looking for a leader with proven sales and people management experience, with a highly motivated, self-starter, and engaging personality, who is passionate about coaching and building a high-performing sales team.
The Associate SMB Sales Manager will report to the Head of SMB Sales and will be a hands-on leader focused on acquiring new customers at scale through coaching and operational excellence, being responsible for the team's activities, forecast accuracy and results — from cold outreach to launch deals.
The ideal candidate is highly data-driven, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys developing people while continuously improving sales execution, processes, and business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS and/or leading sales teams.
Proven success in expanding the customer base and consistently exceeding revenue targets and company goals.
Strong analytical and coaching skills, leveraging data-driven insights to guide the sales process and develop Account Executives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs, while effectively influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven performance management skills, with experience in weekly performance reviews, pipeline inspection, forecast management, and taking fast corrective actions.
Experience using CRM data and sales metrics to drive business decisions and improve team performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Have a competitive edge and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to problem-solve, show resilience and positivity, and adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Extremely proactive and upbeat, with strong organizational and planning skills.
Experience leading high-volume acquisition sales teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Passion for developing talent and building a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
What the Candidate Will Do
Hire, coach, and develop sales professionals, providing leadership and support.
Drive revenue growth by guiding Account Executives through prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
Manage the team to meet sales targets, with high weekly productivity expectations.
Analyze sales data from multiple sources, monitor performance metrics, and communicate findings to the team and leadership.
Own the team's pipeline health and forecast accuracy, ensuring disciplined CRM management and high-quality business visibility.
Optimize sales operations by streamlining workflows and addressing bottlenecks.
Identify and implement process improvements, driving strategic enhancements to optimize efficiency and impact.
Partner closely with Marketing, BDR, Sales Operations, Implementation, Product, Legal, Tax, Support, and other cross-functional teams to remove blockers and improve business outcomes.
Gather and provide feedback on product features to influence the roadmap.
Recruit, onboard, and ramp new Account Executives, building a high-performing and engaged sales organization.
Ready to ride?
This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook; it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves, we'd love to hear from you.
Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 60% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.
