2. About the Opportunity:
The Microsoft BI (Fabric) Engineer will design and build advanced analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This client-facing consulting role involves leading workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting solutions to senior stakeholders. The role contributes significantly by delivering AI-enabled analytics solutions that unlock value from operational data, helping clients accelerate insights and decision-making.
3. Responsibilities:
Design and build Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse solutions including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Notebooks, and semantic models using medallion architecture.
Develop Power BI semantic models and reports with expertise in DAX, performance tuning, and row-level security.
Integrate data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and Dataverse into analytics environments.
Author SQL, Python, and PySpark code for data transformation and notebook development.
Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse/Fabric Pipelines.
Manage source control, branching, and deployment with Git and Azure DevOps.
Conduct client-facing workshops, design sessions, and status calls; translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Implement AI-enabled experiences and utilize modern AI tools to enhance delivery speed.
Produce clear documentation and conduct knowledge transfers.
Support pre-sales and marketing activities including content creation, webinars, and presentations.
Stay updated on Microsoft features and best practices.
4. Requirements:
Minimum 4 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse components, with at least one production implementation.
Strong skills in Power BI including DAX, semantic modeling, performance tuning, and row-level security.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark for notebook development.
Experience with medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Experience or readiness to quickly learn Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM or Dataverse integration.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
Experience with Git and Azure DevOps for source control and deployment.
Client-facing consulting experience with effective communication and presentation skills.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
