1. About Our Client:

The organization supports mission-critical facilities and complex energy management needs, delivering technical expertise and innovative solutions to maximize uptime and safeguard operations.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Lead Field Service Electronics Technician role is responsible for delivering on-site technical support, including emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance. This position plays a key role in maintaining critical power systems at customer locations, contributing directly to operational continuity for clients. The role requires travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays and involves collaboration with service teams to provide expert technical assistance and ensure safety compliance.
3. Responsibilities:
Provide emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance onsite
Travel daily to customer locations, with occasional overnight stays
Operate company vehicle for travel to support customer needs both locally and regionally
Participate in safety audits and compliance programs
Follow all safety protocols and standards in the workplace
Collaborate with field service technicians and take direction from on-site leads
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical components
Maintain documentation of service activities and customer interactions
4. Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum two years of experience in power systems, battery technologies, or electronics, including relevant coursework or internships
Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s license
Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required
Willingness to travel extensively, including support for customers outside the immediate region for at least three weeks per quarter
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., standing for long periods, climbing, bending, and driving long distances
Residency within the greater Richmond, VA area (active-duty military applicants exempt)
No support for employment immigration sponsorship provided
Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics, enrollment in an engineering program, relevant military training, or an Electrical Technology Certificate
Strong skills in reading electrical schematics and performing troubleshooting and repair
Knowledge of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits
Strict adherence to safety rules and protocols
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The expected annual salary range for this role is $69,000 to $101,000 a year
Overtime eligible
Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market considerations
