Role Description The Director of Data Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the firm’s data strategy, governance, and quality across all investment and operational functions. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of data management frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, and accessible to authorized users. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing data governance initiatives, supervising data quality programs, coordinating with technology and investment teams on data integration and architecture, and resolving complex data issues. The Director will also guide the development of metrics and dashboards, support analytical projects, and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements related to data are met. This position involves mentoring data teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving a culture of data literacy and best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Data Management and Clinical Data Management, including the design and oversight of enterprise data frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in Data Governance, including policies, standards, stewardship models, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Data Quality management, including data validation, cleansing, monitoring, and issue resolution.
Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, support decision-making, and guide analytical teams.
Experience leading distributed or remote data teams, with proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Familiarity with modern data platforms, databases, and business intelligence tools; experience with cloud-based data solutions is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications in data management or analytics is a plus.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and promote data literacy across the organization.
