Position: Scientific Program Analyst

Role Overview:
The Scientific Program Analyst will support NIAID’s Small Business Program and SBIR/STTR activities, working closely with scientific program staff, Program Officers, Grants Management Specialists, and biomedical small businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the NIAID SBIR/STTR team and assist applicants with program-related questions and inquiries.
Work with biomedical small businesses to communicate NIAID research activities, funding opportunities, and programs.
Analyze extramural small-business biomedical research within NIAID mission areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, and HIV/AIDS.
Evaluate research and biomedical product outcomes through scientific literature and biotechnology research.
Support assessment and development of small-business and technology-development programs.
Identify and track commercialization resources, including SBDCs, biotech investment resources, and other business-development opportunities.
Coordinate outreach programs designed to attract and retain small biomedical businesses.
Communicate with researchers, business owners, NIH/NIAID staff, and other Institutes/Centers.
Develop and maintain SBIR/STTR success stories, FAQs, website content, mailing lists, and regular bulletins.
Serve as a day-to-day web-content point of contact for the NIAID Small Business Program.
Coordinate with the NIH SEED Office and NIAID program staff on related initiatives.
Provide technical and program guidance related to SBIR/STTR activities.
Experience in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, life sciences, public health, or a related scientific field.
Experience with NIH/NIAID and SBIR/STTR programs strongly preferred.
Knowledge of infectious diseases, immunology, HIV/AIDS, vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, or related biomedical research.
Experience supporting biomedical small businesses, researchers, grant programs, or technology commercialization.
Strong scientific research, literature-review, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Federal/NIH program experience is highly desirable.
