Role Description The Canadian P&C Broker Industry Consultant is a part-time, remote role focused on advising Frensei Innovation Labs on the realities of the Canadian property and casualty (P&C) brokerage market. In this role, the consultant will provide domain expertise on broker operations, client relationship dynamics, and revenue protection challenges specific to Canadian P&C insurance. Typical activities include participating in discovery sessions, reviewing product concepts, validating use cases, and offering feedback on features, workflows, and language to ensure market relevance. The consultant will collaborate with product, research, and commercial teams to refine positioning, inform go-to-market strategies, and identify high-impact opportunities within the broker ecosystem.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review product concepts and provide actionable, honest feedback
- Participate in periodic team calls to discuss product direction
- Share insights on broker workflows, commissions, and operations
- Introduce relevant industry professionals for research conversations
- Identify gaps between product design and real-world usage
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience as a P&C insurance broker, commercial insurance broker, or brokerage support professional
- Strong understanding of broker commission structures and business operations
- Experience in the Canadian P&C insurance market
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide constructive feedback
