BIM Engineer

Role Description This full-time remote BIM Engineer role is responsible for producing, maintaining, and coordinating detailed BIM models for electrical construction projects. Daily tasks include interpreting design and construction documents, developing accurate 3D models, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field teams to resolve clashes and design issues. The BIM Engineer will support preconstruction efforts, generate construction and shop drawings, and contribute to prefabrication planning to improve efficiency and quality. The role also involves applying project standards, documenting design changes, and participating in coordination meetings to ensure models reflect current, buildable conditions.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce precise Construction Drawings for the field.
Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with emphasis on electrical coordination.
Foundational understanding of Architecture and Civil Engineering concepts as they relate to construction projects.
Relevant technical degree or certification in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience in virtual design and construction (VDC) or electrical construction projects is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort with coordination meetings and cross-functional teamwork.
