About us
Girl Dinner Social is a women-only app helping women actually make friends IRL — built and run by a small team of women. We launched in Chicago this summer and we're growing fast, with NYC next. We already have brand guidelines in place, so you'd be designing within an established look rather than starting from a blank page.
What you'll be doingWork directly with our founder and marketing interns to create graphics that match the look and feel of the brand
Create graphics for our social media — story templates, post graphics, event flyers, announcement assets
Help build out a visual identity that feels consistent across everything we put out, in both Chicago and NYC
Work within our brand guidelines while bringing fresh ideas for how to apply them
Who you are
Your portfolio shows work that feels alive — texture, personality, and mood, not rigid app-style layouts or flat solid-color graphics
You design around aesthetics, not templates. You understand what visually pulls our audience in and can bring that feeling to life
You get our audience: women looking for real friendships, and a brand that skews young in how it looks and feels
You have a strong sense for what's landing visually right now — you notice aesthetic trends early and know how to bring them into a brand without it feeling forced
You're comfortable in Figma, Canva, Illustrator, or whatever tools you like
You're organized and can turn things around fast — we move quickly and often need something the same week
You're communicative and won't go quiet for days when we're waiting on something
You can handle feedback and able to revise based on them
You can commit to 2–3 months with us
