Director Finance

The Director of Finance position is the primary finance business partner for WuXi’s US California operations & US/EU WuXi Biology business units. This role will be critical to providing financial results, analysis, forecasting, and financial strategy to CA business operations. This person will interface with both US/China finance organizations to report the financial results as well as provide daily support to CA & WuXi Biology Sr. Leadership.
Responsible for preparing full budget cycle and monitoring of budget vs. actual performance
Interact with CA Sr. Leadership to provide financial business partnering support
Develop and maintain monthly revenue and P&L forecasting
Prepare project backlog reports and project profitability analysis
Assist operations in development of capacity and efficiency models
Coordinate financial results with the US and China corporate finance teams
Interface with sales, operations, and business systems to develop and report forecasts
Monitor financial KPI’s and present to the leadership group
Support business in preparation of fixed asset ROI analysis
Prepare and present the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial result packages including variance analysis
Support WuXi Biology US/EU commercial teams with business partner support, including budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
Provide revenue guidance to sales and operations based upon competitive / market review
Interface with US and China teams for system and master data modifications
Ownership of costing models and annual costing updates
Interact with US shared services and provide on-site coverage of services where required
Finance coverage of WuXi Biology US/EU business units & assist with other US/EU BU coverage as required
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or relevant FP&A work experience
Strong experience with Microsoft Office–advanced experience with Excel
Experience with financial modeling, template creation, and working with datasets
Ability to interact, challenge, and communicate effectively with team members at all levels within organization
Ability to work closely with commercial & operational functions and demonstrate results delivery through those relationships
Direct experience working as a finance business partner preferred
Minimum 7 years’ experience, 5 years within FP&A reporting roles
MBA and/or CPA preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Experience in working within ERP and reporting systems
Strong oral & written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, outlook)
Familiarity with ERP system - JDE or Great Plains experience preferred
Experience with LucaNet, Qlikview, and/or Management Reporter preferred
Fluent Mandarin speaker is a plus
Minimal travel may be required
Need to be able to read, write and understand English
