Position Summary
The Market Specialist is a field-based sales and artistry role responsible for supporting sales growth and promoting the Stila brand image within a smaller assigned territory. Working under the supervision and coaching of the Sr. Sales & Artistry Executive, this role builds relationships with store teams and retail partners, supports in-store selling and events, delivers product and artistry education and communicates market opportunities and issues to field leadership. This is an hourly position and travel may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & In-Store Execution
Support sales objectives and targeted sales growth within assigned doors.
Meet and exceed hourly sales goals
Execute store visits focused on selling, consumer engagement, product knowledge, artistry, and brand representation.
Support effective in-store events and selling initiatives that drive sales and support marketing objectives.
Identify selling opportunities and communicate client, consumer and store needs to the Sr. Sales & Artistry Executive.
Monitor assigned doors for product, merchandising, gondola or other store issues and communicate them promptly.
Artistry & Education
Educate beauty advisors and sales staff on product knowledge, makeup artistry, application techniques, and selling techniques.
Provide ongoing in-store feedback and coaching to reinforce consistent brand standards and selling practices.
Engage consumers through product education, demonstrations and artistry.
Retailer & Field Relationships
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with store management, Stila field staff and retail partners.
Partner closely with the Sr. Sales & Artistry Executive on territory priorities, focus doors, launches, trainings, and events.
Maintain timely communication regarding store, employee, product and business issues.
Qualifications
1-2 years of relevant experience in beauty, cosmetics, retail sales, artistry or a related customer-facing role.
Strong selling, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
Working knowledge of makeup artistry and the ability to educate others on product application and selling techniques.
Self-motivated, organized, dependable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Strong follow-up and follow-through skills and the ability to take direction and coaching.
Ability to travel as required within the assigned market.
Ability to accurately clock in and out and comply with hourly timekeeping requirements.
