Title: Recruiter – Aerospace & Defense Staffing
Location: Rochester, NY Office OR Remote (US-based)
Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Experience: 2+ Years in Recruiting (Aerospace, Defense, or Engineering preferred)
What You'll Be Doing
Recruiting cleared and engineering talent — Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace Engineers, and cleared professionals (Secret / TS / TS/SCI) for active contract requisitions
Full-cycle contract staffing — From sourcing to submission to offer — W2, C2C, contract-to-hire
Sourcing on the right platforms — ClearanceJobs, Dice, LinkedIn, and your own network
Screening with precision — Work authorization, clearance status, compensation, and availability — you know what to ask and why it matters
Managing your pipeline — Keeping ATS records clean, submissions tight, and clients updated
Collaborating with account managers — Aligning your candidate pipeline to active client requirements across defense and aerospace accounts
Hitting your numbers — Weekly submittals, interview ratios, and placement targets
What We're Looking For
Must Have
2+ years full-cycle recruiting experience
Background in Aerospace, Defense, or Engineering staffing
Understanding of US security clearances (Secret, TS, TS/SCI)
Contract staffing knowledge (W2, C2C, 1099)
Strong sourcing skills — Dice, LinkedIn, job boards
US-based, available during EST business hours
Nice-to-have
Experience recruiting for DoD / Government contractors
Knowledge of ITAR / export control hiring rules
Sourcing experience on ClearanceJobs
Experience with Ceipal, Bullhorn, or similar ATS
Existing cleared candidate network in Upstate NY / nationally
Familiarity with engineering disciplines
