Role Description The Account Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This position manages day-to-day customer accounts, including processing orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate account records. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating with internal teams such as operations, sales, and finance to ensure timely and accurate service. The Account Specialist will prepare quotes, review invoices, and support pricing and contract updates as needed. This role also includes monitoring account activity, identifying opportunities to improve service, and contributing to process improvements that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Account Management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a detail-oriented approach to reviewing orders, invoices, and account data.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams.
Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Finance, including comfort working with pricing, billing, and payment-related information.
Relevant qualifications include proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM systems), strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Prior experience in account support, customer service, or a similar role within a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment is beneficial.
A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
