This will be an initial 6 month contract with a high possibility of extension.
We are looking for somebody who can start quickly and work with full autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, build and delivery of dashboards, workbooks and reports in Sigma Computing
Own client engagements from requirements gathering through to delivery and handover
Lead migrations of existing Power BI reports and semantic models into Sigma
Design and optimise data models connected to cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery
Write efficient SQL to prepare, transform and validate data for reporting
Configure Sigma features including input tables, parameters, row level security and embedded analytics
Maintain and enhance existing Power BI solutions, including DAX measures and Power Query transformations
Define governance, access control and best practice standards across BI environments
Mentor junior consultants and review their work to maintain delivery quality
Deliver training, documentation and handover sessions to enable client teams to self serve
Resolve complex reporting and performance issues across client environments
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on BI strategy, visualisation best practice and platform adoption
Technical Skills Required
5+ years of experience in BI, analytics or data consulting
Hands on experience building solutions in Sigma Computing
Strong Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling
Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery
Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling and reporting design principles
Proven experience leading requirements workshops and presenting solutions to senior technical and non technical stakeholders
Strong communication skills and confidence working in a client facing consultancy environment
Desirable Skills
Sigma Computing or Microsoft PL 300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certification
Experience leading migrations from Power BI, Tableau or Looker into Sigma
Exposure to dbt or other transformation frameworks
Experience with embedded analytics or customer facing reporting
Familiarity with Python for data preparation or automation
Experience mentoring or leading small delivery teams
