About the Role
Position Summary The Senior Manager, Transaction Advisory Services will lead financial, accounting, and operational due diligence engagements for mergers and acquisitions transactions. This role requires direct interaction with clients, private equity groups, lenders, business owners, and executive leadership teams while overseeing engagement execution and developing junior team members.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee financial due diligence engagements from start to finish.
Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership teams throughout the transaction process.
Analyze quality of earnings, working capital, historical and projected financial performance, and key balance sheet accounts.
Conduct industry and company research to support transaction-related analyses.
Lead management interviews and information-gathering sessions with target company executives.
Identify transaction risks, deal issues, and opportunities for value creation.
Develop recommendations and solutions related to transaction structure and negotiation considerations.
Lead financial due diligence report preparation and presentation of key findings to clients.
Manage communication and information flow among clients, target companies, and transaction stakeholders.
Support business development efforts through networking, relationship building, and industry involvement.
Assist in proposal development and client presentations for new business opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership and service line teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and expand client relationships.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage and supervise engagement teams, including managers and senior associates.
Review work product and provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.
Mentor team members through real-time training and professional development.
Participate in performance evaluations and ongoing staff development initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on quality client service.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience
7+ years of public accounting, transaction advisory, or related consulting experience required.
4+ years of Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) or Financial Due Diligence experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience working directly with C-suite executives and business owners preferred.
Certifications
CPA, CA, or equivalent professional designation preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Advanced financial analysis and modeling capabilities.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
