Compensation & Location
Location: Irwindale, CA — Greater Los Angeles area
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Type: Remote with onsite meetings as needed; candidates must be local to the Greater LA area and willing to use their own device with VDI
Pay Range: $30.00–$37.00 per hour

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise-wide learning and training programs at Southern California Edison. This role will partner with organizational leaders, subject matter experts, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to evaluate training effectiveness and measure its impact on business performance.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in learning and development, training evaluation, data analysis, and performance measurement. This individual will develop evaluation strategies, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, build reports and dashboards, and translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead measurement strategies that demonstrate learning program effectiveness and business impact
Partner with leaders, program owners, SMEs, HR, and stakeholders to establish training evaluation strategies and success measures
Define performance objectives, KPIs, metrics, evaluation plans, and reporting requirements
Conduct job, task, stakeholder, and learning-needs analyses to identify performance gaps
Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, learning outcomes, behavior changes, and business results
Design and maintain surveys, assessments, questionnaires, and other evaluation tools
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, and business metrics
Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
Develop dashboards and reports highlighting program performance, opportunities, and business impact
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, department leaders, and senior management
Provide functional leadership and guidance to analysts supporting data collection, analysis, reporting, and dashboard development
Establish and maintain evaluation standards, methodologies, and governance practices across learning programs
What This Person Will Be Working On
Measuring the effectiveness and business impact of enterprise-wide training and learning programs
Developing evaluation strategies using methods such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations
Analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends and performance gaps
Creating dashboards, reports, and executive-level presentations
Helping business leaders understand how learning initiatives contribute to organizational performance
Establishing consistent measurement and evaluation practices across learning programs
Required Skills & Experience
5–7 years of combined experience in learning and development or training
Experience developing and implementing training evaluation methodologies
Experience with questionnaires, focus groups, observations, interviews, and other evaluation techniques
Experience developing questionnaires using tools such as Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, or Qualtrics
Experience using the Kirkpatrick Model to evaluate training effectiveness
Strong experience analyzing large and complex datasets
Experience creating reports and dashboards
Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and follow assignments through completion
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Strong initiative, accountability, and attention to data accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships and communicate complex information clearly
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related discipline
Desired Skills
Experience developing company-wide measurement strategies
Experience creating dashboards using Power BI
Knowledge of SuccessFactors Learning (LMS)
Experience connecting learning metrics and KPIs to broader organizational and business objectives
