Role Description The Account Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting relationships with health plan partners, providers, and patients. On a day-to-day basis, this role monitors assigned accounts, tracks performance metrics, and assists with resolving billing, eligibility, or service issues in a timely and accurate manner. The Account Specialist responds to inquiries, documents interactions, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service and account support. This role also contributes to financial and operational reporting, maintains up-to-date account records, and identifies opportunities to improve processes and strengthen partner relationships. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Account Management and Customer Service skills to manage relationships, resolve issues, and support partner and patient needs.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance skills to interpret data, support reporting, and assist with account performance and billing accuracy.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to interact effectively with health plans, providers, patients, and internal teams.
Relevant skills such as problem-solving, time management, and proficiency with CRM or account management software are beneficial.
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or managed care environments is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus.
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate commitment to health equity and inclusive care.
