Volunteer: Branded Social Media Template System

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Becoming Love Project is seeking support creating a cohesive and reusable social media design system. As a growing nonprofit, we regularly share program announcements, fundraising campaigns, community events, partnerships, volunteer opportunities, participant stories, and organizational updates. Currently, many of our graphics must be created from scratch. This takes significant time and makes it difficult for our board members and volunteers to maintain a consistent visual identity. We need a collection of polished, editable Canva templates that reflect the warmth, creativity, hope, and professionalism of our organization. The templates should be visually cohesive while remaining flexible enough to support our different programs, campaigns, and events. Our goal is to make content creation faster and more sustainable without requiring every team member to have advanced graphic design experience. Becoming Love Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses storytelling, filmmaking, and mentorship as educational and workforce development tools for young adults navigating major life transitions. Through free storytelling programs and hands-on creative experiences, participants build confidence, emotional expression, and practical skills that help them author their own next chapter.
By the end of this project, the consultant will create an organized collection of approximately 12 to 15 editable Canva templates that Becoming Love Project can use consistently across its social media platforms. Templates should include: Categories

Editable Canva templates for Instagram posts and Stories
Designs that can be adapted for Facebook and LinkedIn
Consistent use of our logo, colors, fonts, imagery, and calls to action
Clearly labeled templates organized in a Canva folder
A simple one-page guide explaining how our team should use and customize the templates
One round of revisions based on organizational feedback We will provide our logo, brand colors, existing creative materials, organizational messaging, examples of current content, visual references, and timely feedback. Success means our board members and volunteers can quickly customize the templates while every post still feels polished, recognizable, and unmistakably connected to Becoming Love Project.
Becoming Love Project Inc Mission: Becoming Love Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses storytelling, filmmaking, and mentorship to support young adults navigating major life transitions, including those aging out of foster care. Through our non-clinical creative model, participants transform elements of lived experience into characters and stories that help them examine old thought patterns, imagine new possibilities, and write toward what they want to believe about themselves and their futures. They then bring those stories to life through hands-on filmmaking experiences that build confidence, strengthen emotional expression, and develop transferable professional skills.
