🚀 Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s overall accounting strategy, operations, and financial reporting.
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and financial close processes.
Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting activities.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable GAAP, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Oversee external audits, tax coordination, financial reviews, and relationships with external accounting advisors.
Monitor accounting performance, identify financial risks, and implement corrective actions.
Partner with the CFO, FP&A, Treasury, Finance, Operations, and other senior leaders on financial matters.
Lead accounting process improvement, automation, system implementation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Develop scalable accounting structures and processes to support organizational growth and expansion.
Provide executive leadership with accurate financial analysis, accounting insights, and strategic recommendations.
Establish accounting KPIs, reporting standards, and performance-management processes.
Oversee multi-entity, multi-region, or international accounting operations where applicable.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior accounting managers and high-performing finance teams.
Support strategic transactions, business expansion, restructuring, acquisitions, and other major corporate initiatives.
Present accounting performance, financial risks, reporting matters, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
🎓 Experience & Qualifications
20+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Reporting, or related disciplines.
Significant senior leadership experience, preferably at the VP, SVP, Corporate Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, or equivalent level.
Proven track record leading complex accounting organizations and enterprise-wide financial reporting functions.
Extensive experience with GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, accounting policies, and compliance.
Strong experience managing month-end/year-end close, consolidations, financial systems, and accounting operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead large accounting teams and geographically distributed organizations.
Extensive experience working directly with CFOs, CEOs, Boards, auditors, investors, and other senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
Experience with ERP systems, financial automation, data analytics, and accounting technology preferred.
CPA certification strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
