Position: Music & Sound Annotation Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $30 - $45/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role ResponsibilitiesListen to 30–90 second field recordings and complete structured annotations on instruments, tempo, key, and background sounds.
Compare paired recordings of the same song captured at different locations to judge changes.
Review AI model descriptions of clips and mark accuracy with brief written explanations.
Attend a paid onboarding/calibration session and participate in a short weekly sync.
RequirementsHave strong relevant experience in music or audio.
Strong analytical listening skills to identify individual instruments in complex mixes.
Ability to identify tempo and musical key with relative pitch.
Comfortable with detail-oriented, repetitive annotation work on a web platform.
Clear written English for brief, evidence-based notes.
