Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in Chalakkudy, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across applications, networks, and cloud infrastructure to protect client and internal systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and coordinating remediation with engineering and DevOps teams. The Cyber Security Engineer will help define and enforce security policies, support secure software development practices, and contribute to compliance and audit readiness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed security into product design, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines is a core part of the role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security governance.
Candidates should possess expertise in Network Security and related technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.
Candidates should possess solid capabilities in Application Security and secure development practices, including code reviews and integration of security tools in CI/CD pipelines.
Candidates should possess experience in Vulnerability Assessment, including scanning, analysis, prioritization, and coordination of remediation activities.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and secure DevOps practices.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and support multiple projects.
