The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that tests deep understanding of African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for Africans and the diaspora, Superfan.ng aims to make cultural learning engaging, accessible, and fun. The team combines education, technology, and storytelling to help learners connect with their heritage in a modern, interactive way.
Role Description The Content Manager at Superfan.ng is a full-time, remote role responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining engaging content across the platform and related channels. Day-to-day tasks include defining content calendars, developing and curating quizzes and educational materials, and ensuring cultural accuracy and relevance. The Content Manager will collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to align content with learning objectives and brand guidelines, and will oversee editing, quality control, and updates to existing content. This role also involves analyzing content performance, optimizing for engagement and learning outcomes, and managing contributors or freelancers as needed.
Qualifications
Strong content management and editorial skills, including experience developing and executing content strategies.
Proven ability to write, edit, and proofread clear, engaging educational or digital content.
Familiarity with digital learning platforms, edtech products, or online communities is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated interest in African languages, cultures, proverbs, folklore, and traditions, or willingness to learn deeply.
Experience using content management systems, basic analytics tools, and collaborative project tools.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural and distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Linguistics, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
