Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for guiding prospective students and families through the admissions process. Day-to-day tasks include counseling applicants on academic programs, admission criteria, and career pathways; responding to inquiries via in-person meetings, phone, and email; and conducting campus visits, presentations, and information sessions. The role involves managing a pipeline of leads, following up with prospective students, assisting with application completion, and maintaining accurate records in admissions systems. The Senior Admissions Counselor will coordinate with academic departments, participate in education fairs and outreach events, and support strategies to meet enrollment targets while upholding a student-first approach.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills for effective counseling and collaboration.
Candidates should possess Customer Service and Sales skills to engage prospective students, address concerns, and support enrollment conversion.
Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience, preferably in admissions, academic advising, or student services.
Candidates should possess proficiency in basic IT tools (email, spreadsheets, CRM or admissions software) and accurate data management.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in Education, Management, or related fields is preferred.
Candidates should possess experience in university or college admissions, counseling, or recruitment; familiarity with the Kolkata and regional education landscape is an advantage.
