Role Description The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and execution for Ledger Labs. This role oversees brand positioning, demand generation, and go-to-market initiatives across all channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing integrated marketing plans, guiding market research activities, and collaborating with sales and product leaders to refine messaging and offerings. The CMO manages public relations and external communications, builds and mentors a high-performing marketing team, and monitors key performance metrics to optimize campaigns and budgets. The role also involves representing the marketing function in executive discussions, making data-informed decisions, and championing a customer-centric approach across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Market Planning and Marketing Management, with a proven ability to design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies.
Demonstrated experience in Market Research, including analyzing customer insights, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
Background in Public Relations, with skills in media relations, thought leadership programs, and reputation management.
Understanding of Sales processes and collaboration with sales teams to align marketing initiatives with pipeline and revenue goals.
Leadership experience managing cross-functional marketing teams and mentoring staff at different career levels.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with digital marketing channels, analytics tools, CRM and marketing automation platforms.
Track record of setting and achieving measurable marketing KPIs and optimizing budgets based on performance data.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Experience in B2B or technology-focused organizations is preferred, with a strategic mindset and a customer-centric approach.
