Senior SAP Basis & HANA Administrator

Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior SAP Basis & HANA Administrator with strong hands-on experience managing large-scale SAP environments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SAP Basis, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, system administration, performance tuning, high availability, and SAP migrations, including experience with SAP RISE or major cloud migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, administer, and support scalable, secure, and highly available SAP environments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms.
Perform hands-on SAP Basis administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, system refreshes, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
Administer and support SAP HANA databases, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
Support SAP S/4HANA, BW on HANA, NetWeaver, and related SAP technologies.
Lead or participate in large-scale SAP migrations, including S/4HANA and HANA database migrations to cloud/SAP RISE environments.
Configure and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery solutions.
Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and proactively resolve technical issues.
Work with Azure and/or other cloud platforms to support SAP infrastructure and integrations.
Support SAP upgrades, maintenance activities, OS/DB changes, and technical lifecycle projects.
Provide technical guidance to Basis team members and coordinate with infrastructure, database, security, cloud, and external support teams.
Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
Required Technical Skills
SAP Basis Administration – Strong hands-on experience
SAP HANA Administration & Performance Tuning
SAP S/4HANA & NetWeaver
SAP system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting
HANA backup/recovery and database management
High Availability / Disaster Recovery
SAP system monitoring and performance/capacity management
SAP migrations and large-scale enterprise landscapes
SAP RISE / Cloud migration experience
Azure or other major cloud platforms
Strong experience working in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid SAP environments
Preferred
SAP Basis/HANA certification
Experience with SAP RISE with SAP
Experience migrating large or complex SAP landscapes to cloud
Experience with multi-terabyte HANA/SAP environments
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, OS, and database technologies
Ideal Profile: This is a hands-on technical Basis/HANA role, not a purely architectural or managerial position. Candidates should be actively involved in SAP administration, troubleshooting, migrations, performance tuning, and day-to-day technical operations.
