The Opportunity
At SwarmLens, we combine cutting-edge AI technology with deep operational expertise. Our AI agents process and analyze vast streams of operational data, while Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) validate and refine the outputs—ensuring every insight is practical, reliable, and grounded in real-world physics and workflows.
We are expanding our risk intelligence and process analytics platform into Steel Manufacturing & Processing, and we’re looking for a seasoned Steel Industry SME / Advisory Consultant to guide our AI and Data Science teams.
What You’ll Do
Validate AI Logic: Review and critique AI-generated insights, process models, assumptions, and operational recommendations.
Bridge the Gap: Translate real-world steel plant workflows, constraints, and edge cases into actionable context for our machine learning and engineering teams.
Refine Product Relevance: Guide the development of plant-ready AI solutions to ensure outputs align with actual mill practices and technical realities.
Domain Leadership: Serve as our go-to expert on steel coil manufacturing, flat rolled operations, and downstream processing.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a hands-on technical or operational leader with deep experience in Flat Rolled Steel Manufacturing & Processing, including specific exposure to:
Cold Rolling & Cold Rolling Mills (CRM)
Pickling & Chemical Processing Lines
Annealing (Continuous & Batch)
Galvanizing / Continuous Galvanizing Lines (CGL)
Coating & Finishing Operations
Process Engineering, Quality Control, or Plant Management
