Role Description The Vice President of Investment is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the organization’s investment function and strategy. This role oversees the evaluation, selection, and management of investment opportunities aligned with Suzlon’s long-term financial and operational goals. Daily activities include conducting financial and market analysis, leading due diligence processes, designing and implementing investment strategies, and monitoring portfolio performance. The Vice President of Investment collaborates with senior leadership, finance, and business units to assess risk, optimize returns, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role also involves preparing investment reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and the board, and mentoring team members in investment and finance-related activities.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Investment Management and Investments, with a track record of managing complex portfolios.
Advanced Finance skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and capital allocation.
Proven experience in Due Diligence, including qualitative and quantitative assessment of investment opportunities.
Ability to design and execute effective Investment Strategies that align with organizational objectives and risk appetite.
Relevant academic background such as a master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA) are an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and working in a collaborative, remote environment.
Familiarity with energy or manufacturing sectors and global investment markets is beneficial.
