Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chip Conveyor Service Engineer based in Ahmedabad. The Chip Conveyor Service Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of chip and scrap conveyor systems and associated coolant management equipment at customer locations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, executing troubleshooting and corrective actions, and providing technical support and guidance to customer maintenance teams. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, preparing service reports, coordinating spare parts requirements, and ensuring timely resolution of field service calls. The engineer will collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams, follow safety and quality standards, and contribute to customer training and continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and basic electrical systems in industrial machinery.
Hands-on field service experience, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer support.
Ability to provide technical support, including interpreting drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Experience in maintenance and repair of conveyors, material handling systems, or similar industrial equipment.
Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in industrial environments.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required and work flexible hours when needed.
Knowledge of chip, scrap, or coolant management systems and CNC shop floor operations is an advantage.
Basic computer skills for service documentation, reporting, and use of service management tools.
